The Air Max 1 ‘Evolution of Icons’ released in March 2021 as part of that year’s Air Max Day. Incorporating elements from various Air Max models, the shoe’s upper features a white leather base with mismatched Swoosh branding, taken from the Air Max 95 ‘Neon’ and Air Max 93 ‘Dusty Cactus.’ The Air Max 90 gets the nod via the molded eyelets, while the Air Max 98 makes its mark via the toe box embroidery. A further Air Max 95 detail emerges on the gradient grey mudguard, and Air Max Day itself, ‘3.26,’ gets a callout in debossed fashion on the left heel. The insole includes a graphic showing off the various silhouettes used on the hybrid design.
