In December 2017, Nike released the Dunk Low ‘Plattenbau,’ which pays homage to the city buildings in Berlin, Germany. The shoe features a grey colorway and laser etchings throughout the upper that mimic the symmetrical lines of the apartments. The design also includes gold embroidery that highlights important landmarks, such as ‘D85’ on the heel to represent the month and year of the original Nike Dunk’s release by Peter Moore, ‘D17’ to signify this version’s release, and a limited-edition number on the tongue.
